South China Morning Post looks at the Sing Heung Yuen Dai Pai Dong, an outdoor restaurant on Mei Lun Street, at the foot of the staircase. This family-run restaurant has been open in one form or another since 1957, and remains a very active element of the locale. Questions may remain about it’s future occupying the space, but for the time being, you can head over to Mei Lun street for a traditional Hong Kong lunch in the open air.
