Hidden Pound
Mixed Media Sculpture
The story behind Pound Lane is significance to Hong Kong, it was the starting point of a new era for Hong Kong. By using a sculpture which symbolise livestock (a cattle), to remind the audience about the history of Pound Lane.
This is not an art piece that just for decorating the environment, it is a clew for the audience to connect the past, recall the history of early Hong Kong. Knowing the story behind of a place that they walk by everyday is a wonderful experience.

This installation transforms a boundary of exclusion into a point of connection, allowing a unique spatial experience in between Pound Lane and Blake Garden. (This portion of the historic Blake Garden wall is scheduled for demolition to make way for the proposed escalator.)

This installation extends a community-built seating area to fill half of the staircase (the width of the proposed escalator), demonstrating the potential for Pound Lane to serve the local community and be more than just a circulation corridor.
