DESCRIPTION:In the know: Stair culture in Hong Kong | 尋幽探徑:香港樓梯文化 \nMeet Up Place | 集合地點 Dominion Garden\, Wan Chai | 灣仔東美花園\nLed by | 帶領者 Melissa Cate Christ \nThis walk will guide participants from Wan Chai through Admiralty and Central to Sheung Wan\, with a focus on the stairs and cultural landscape heritage of the Taipingshan neighborhood. Traversing secret shortcuts\, secluded stairs\, and in-between spaces which are only privy to those ‘in the know’\, many parts of the beginning of this route are surprising to the visitor\, or even the average local resident who\, according to the Highways and Transport Departments\, rarely walks distances longer than 300m.
